Improve the Drupal Core Update module

The Automatic Updates initiative would like to improve the Update module.

  • Needs review
  • The current work is available in an Drupal core issue fork.
• Issue #3111767: API to provide a recommended next version for the project.
  • Needs a new API concept. There is pseudo-code that needs to be broken down. We should review this and propose a new API.
  •
